Our Story

 Meet the Chef!

 

 

Isabelle, born and raised in Queens, NY, recalls her fondest childhood memories always revolving around food.  She saw early on how food brought people together. Her Lola, or grandmother in Tagalog, was by far the best cook in the family. Despite her old age, she would prepare feasts for large family gatherings and the food reflected the love her Lola put into it.

As Isabelle grew older, she started experimenting with sweets. She begged her godmother to teach her how to make her trademark desserts that she brought to every family gathering. At the time, she didn’t know that she was starting on a path to her livelihood.  While studying Health Science at Stony Brook University, she realized that she was on the wrong career path and immediately enrolled in the Professional Pastry Arts program at ICC, formerly known as The French Culinary Institute.

From there, Isabelle went on to work for various restaurants. Among them were Michelin Star restaurants such as Ai Fiori and the prestigious three Michelin Starred restaurants Le Bernardin and Chef's Table Brooklyn Fare.

Our mission is to elevate your celebrations with quality boutique cakes and desserts.  We source the highest quality ingredients and make everything as fresh as possible!  For us flavor will always come first and take care to balance our treats to avoid the cloyingly sweet taste.  We avoid adding preservatives, simple syrups, and storing excess cakes and fillings in the freezer.  When you order with Belle Bakery NY, everything is tailored to deliver Michelin quality to the comfort of your home!
